7/11/09-the end is here

today is the day that I leave London. it came by sooo quick. So as me and Kate were heading towards the airport, many obstacles faced us. Number one Kate had a deadbody in her suitcase. The train we were planning on taking doesn't operate on the weekend. So we had to take the tube to another train station. come to find out, the main TUBE LINE was out of service for the weekend as well. Then we had to take an alternative route-which took forever. Once we reached the station, found out there were no elevators.....and carrying a "dead" body aint not joke!!! Im going to need for London Underground to have LIFTS!!! WE almost missed the express train that takes us to the Airport....We finally made it!! Then things started getting better. we arrived and had a good airplane trip. 8 hours on the plane don't seem long at all.

BACK IN THE O NOW...... HAD GOOD SLEEP... Thanks for reading my blogs pplz :D I will edit with pictures and traveling tips

7/10/09

My internship had their event that they've been planning for a while. I was the backup dancer. The event went well, got to network with some people. Afterwards i got to see LITA2U again. While I was waiting for her, I went to a Rasta store. I said "Do you guys have African Pearls?" BIG MISTAKE he made sure to tell me don't ever say guy to a rasta- that means you are calling them gay. I said " In the U.S, we don't say guy in a sexuality manner." but after wards he was talking about me calling me a princess/emperess-in a non creepish way. He gave me free shea butter ( my np beauties know about this)

After I left the store, I saw a guy pickpocket another guy, I was warning the victim but he didnt believe me, and the pickpocktor had the audacity to attemp to curse me out. Finally saw LITA2U, went to a park. while me and her was talking, this lady was walking by us without no pants-only had a shirt and undies. We knew she was going to use the bathroom, both of us hauled tail, next thing you know, "sprinklers" went off. I don't think she had all her marbels put 2gether. Last night in London ended with a bang!!!!

Packing is not joke :(

7/9/09

Interned as usual. It was my last day there :(, they gave me a card and chocolate as a going away gift. That did something to me. I was reall happy, I never gotten a going away gift while leaving an internship.

Afterward I met up with NP sister again-Mariajay. We went to an African film screening. The film was very educational and the film director...lets just say I think i met my husband. From there, me and Mariajay went to a fish and chips restaraunt and a bar. It was good seeing her before I left. We got a chance to bond really well.

7/8/09

Today I interned as usual. They had me pick up some documents at a printing store. When I say that it is hard to find stores, it is hard!! googlemaps didn't help me, it made me more lost! I eventually got there and headed back.

**Np sister11****
Afterwork, my internship placement had a farewell dinner, from there I invited my NP sister LITA2U. It was fun, I got an extra drink from the bartender...he was cool. He is a mutt indeed, his parents are from two countries but he was born in Portugal :D (and he wasn't bad looking too) Afterwards me and LITA went to meet up with one of my college friends. She was here with her boyfriend/fiance'. We had a good time!!!!! just chit chatting about random and interesting things :P

It was good seeing one of my American friends in the U.K.

7/7/09

Today we were rehearsing for our dance4life event taking place on Friday. There is a girl dance group called the Stylinquets (sp) and man they know how to dance. I wish I took dance lessons when I was younger. London is really big on dancing and I love how it likes to revive the urban youth theme. After wards, I went home and watched the Michael Jackson Memorial. I loved when John Mayer ( just heard of him today) played that guitar. he did it beautifully

7/6/09

I interned today, nothing different. Still shocked that I am leaving so soon. After work I went shopping. Primark is my new store. Too bad a 16 in women is too tight on me :(. Went home and chilled

7/5/09

I fixed up my room today, aftewards I went to a concert feat Tinchy Stryder, Flo Rida, Kid Cudi, Q-tip and Kanye West. That concert was thickkkkkkkkkkkkkkk madd ppl were pushing and throwing glass bottles like it was nothing. Glad I got in for free, but Q-tip was doing his thing, he was the livest and I like his voice. So did Kanye. My goodness Flo-rida is a big dude upclose.

**Castle***

Today my internship placement took us to see where the Queen of England lives. It is in Windsor. OMG, must I say the Queen place is on point?! I was soo mad that I couldn't take pictures inside of it. We got to see the change of guards. The area seems is very old and it is amazing how structures can last for a long time. I'm still confused, what is the purpose of the Queen? If its nothing then shoot, I need to be a Queen and people would honor me :P. I also visited the area where Elton John got married.

**BBQ*
Afterwards, I was invited to a bbq through sidlia films. The people were pretty chill, I'm going to miss that kind of environment. I headed home, talked to the bus driver ( cutie) and made it home :D

Happy Independence day!!!

7/3/09

**Short and sweet**
Went to a professional development today, completed my paper for my internship placement, went home, took a nap, got in the internet and chilled. Nothing big today.

7/2/09

I interned today as usual. Helped out with the upcoming events taking place on 7/9. After that I went to the Wellcome museum. It is amazing how artistic people are. One artist name Bobby ( woman) is suffering from mental illness and she paints a picture of her issue. The more mentally sick she got, the better detailed her drawing became.

**NP sister 10**

I met Digital Rainz from Np. Me, her and her friend went to a soca club...Lets just say I had a good time :D !!!! These people dance here!! BIG UPS TO MY ISLAND PEOPLE!!!

7/1/09

***Dang we in July already***

I went to Sidilia's films today. Contacted PR companies so they can donate prizes to dance4life competition. Went to the youth magazine's office with Daniel to further establish my networking and create a liaison between d4l and them. I went ot a free concert with Sam, Danny and Shep, cool times and it was a chill environment. Went home to sleep

6/30/09

**Back to London***

Man my time flew by in France, I have to return home. My internship was scared cause they thought I was coming in at 10am but mis-communication happen but everything was resolved. I finished my work early, relaxed went home and chilled

6/29/09

**France Part Trois*** Parrain's (godfather) birthday.

I went to travel parts of Rosny-Sous Bois with my cousin through marriage. Mind you she don't speak creole or english, and I dont speak French, thank god she can understand Creole. It was funny communicating with her. Gestures are a big help. I hate shopping in France, they don't have my pants or shirt size. I felt fat :( and they had some good deals too.. O well.

Afterwards I met with my cousin Claire and we went to PARIS. Again I stress they are some good lookin men MANNN IF FRENCH WASN'T THEIR OFFICIAL LANG, I would of been "networking" with them. I love the building structures of Paris. Then we went to Claire's friends house then went home and chilled.

6/28/09

**France part deux***

After returning to the house at almost 8AM, me and my cousin slept in till 2pm. Her brother came to pick us up to see their older brother ( my cousin) Ricardo. I haven't seen David in person in 10 years and last time I seen Ricardo, I was four. I was soooo excited to see him and I got to met his wife and kids. His four year old son is too adorable! Me and the kids were having fun, despite our language barrier. I tried to teach them English, It was too cute!!!

The older folks had some drinks and we talked about the good-old times. Man my cousin doesn't look like he aged at all especially for him being 32. He plans on coming to Orlando in two years, I can't wait cause I could give him a tour. I miss hanging out with my cousins. The good times. Afterwards I went back home and chilled

6/27/09

**France***

I AM GOING TO SEE MY FAMILY IN FRANCE!!

I am soo freaking excited. When I arrived in France, two guys tried to holla at me. One of the guys refuse to accept that I don't speak french, he wanted me to go with him to get a drink of wine...goodness. And these gypsies aka poor women are a trip. If you spoke english, they had a sign talking about their situation and how they need money. It was too funny. While I was waiting for my cousin, my "smart" self forgot to write down my cousins address and telephone number. God forbid if something happen to me, I would be one lost Freddie In France :-(. I was waiting for them for two hours, ended up that my uncle's car stopped working and the train station close to them didnt work as well. Thank god my cousin texted me.

I told my uncle about the guys situation and he joked " If you spoke french, I would lose you to those guys." he wasn't lying either lol. OMG there is a heavy African-French influence here. I felt lost because everything is in French (duh) I took French classes but that didn't help me at all. THESE GUYS HERE....ARE LOOKING GOOD!!! alot more cute looking guys in France than in London.

**African Wedding**
My cousin took me to an African wedding. I never been to one before. The people are from Cote d'Ivore. The announcer said this reception is from 9am-6pm....he wasn't lying either. It was good seeing a different form of wedding/reception. Me and my cousin sat in the back, so it took forever to get food, I was hungry man!!!!!! Their food reminded me of Haitian food, its nice to see how many carribean cultures have African Influence. After the food, I caught the "ITIS". Eventually I went to sleep because the bus doesn't run all night and me and my cousin didn't think about it. My cousin takes a pic of me sleeping...O lord lol!! I love her though.

6/26/09

**Proff day**

This idiot said a dumbass comment during a discussion. We had to figure out how to we can use a specific tool for something else than what its made for. This tool was a metal of some sort I dont remember but when the presenter went to him he makes the comment " Well we can't bring back Michael Jackson." His tone of voice was one similair to a smartass saying something for popularity purposes. this was an embarrasment because we were getting filmed as a part of our program. While saying that comment, he had the audacity to feel proud of himself and put up his index finger. I wanted to slap him sooo bad!!!

I went to work today cause I am going to France and I will be missing some days. While I was at work I got into another deep convo with the Mag Distributor. He wants me to help him establish a youth magazine in the States ( fear sets in).

After work, my co workers went to a pub. One of the co workers is going to Africa for 5 months. I got into a conversation with one of my co workers about how American women are feminist and independent. I told him "whats wrong with that? " He's from Sierra Leone, Africa and he mentions that American women are precieved as angry and in his country, its not the same. He's a cool guy though but cultures does establish a set mentality. Afterwards I went home- talked to a Jamaican guy on the bus. Took my finals

Special Thank you to KIM and Lashawnda, you guys helped me out on my finals

6/25/09

I went to Sidilia's films. all day I was importing contacts from Mac address book to excel. It took all day but partially it was my fault.

**Fear**
While I was doing my work, I started doing some deep thinking. I have a fear of FEAR. I remember taking a test a while back and it stated that I am over analytical of people and I am scared. This is true because I am scared of failure to the point that I psych myself out of doing ideas. I would find reasons in why I wont complete an assignment and would beat myself up. I just don't want to invest my time in something that doesn't have a good outcome but I would never know until I tried it. I was discussing that with my homey/ np sister bernag09 and she referred me to this song Jasmine Sullivan-Fear. That song is on point and reflects my view on it! And one of my facebook James told me about "The Secret" book, good book to read. My new quote "Instead of hitting pause or eject on my life, I'll press play and go through stages and see what is expected and what I can unlock. "

*On my Grind*

Afterwards I went to an event called " Youth Development." It featured local hiphop artists. My manager wanted me there so I could look up potential ambassadors. She must have faith in me cause I want to "get on my networking grind in 09". At the show I was able to establish connects: one with a youth magazine, two with artists and one with a community organizer. The magazine distributor and I got into a deep deep convo, Hes a cool dude, like a male version of me. He is motivated, determined and strong willed. I needed that convo to get back on my grind.

**THE KING OF POP IS NO LONGER WITH US**

While i was on facebook, I received over 50 new posting signs talking about Michael Jackson, then I found out he died. My heart skipped a beat, I know everyone dies but his death came as a all of a sudden. the words MICHAEL JACKSON is a universal language, you can go to any part of the world and people know his name. His death impacted me because it shows when you live in misery and unhappiness for a long time, it affects your health! R.I.P Michael and I don't find you guility of molestation. There's more words I could say about him but mainly, his music made my happy and in my mind I felt like i could copy his moves, He would forever leave a footprint in peoples mind.
